NIH has awarded the Oweiss lab phase II (3-years) of the 5-year grant "Mining Large Scale Neural Ensemble Recordings" to extend the group's work on developing highly advanced tools to discover functional relationship between neurons simultaneously recorded in normal and diseased subjects carrying out normal daily functions. The impact of this work will help understand the dynamics of brain circuits as both types of subjects learn how to execute these functions under the normal and diseased states.
